Ok, so I have to make the scene of the murder! (I really don't know why sadness wouldn't accompany a murder... but oh well)
Well, I am so impatient that I made it already. But pertinence, it's just a word. I try to do it, but everyone has another meaning of course, other imagination...
But I made this piece now and it will be about the murder itself: the song is about the chase of the murderer and his prey. The murderer tries to catch his victim and the victim is so smart that he can escape from the murderer. So the victim laughs about the murderer in a humorous way, so the song is by all means not sad. I added some human breath sounds to say that they are running and all. The idea of the chords came from Hamauzu's Saga Frontier 2 and Yoko Kanno's Brain PowerD. The recurring theme is from Musashiden 2. I added Chinese melodies, because I'm Chinese and it's in my genes to express this. Also... nobody said the victim had to die!
I heard Franck said something about a jazzy theme, sax, ambience disco and such so I went in the Jazz area. I tried listening to Senko no Ronde to find the right jazz beat but it didn't work out good. I'm not a genius in the modern sounds of synths so I just used a normal jazz band sound.
I hope I did it right this time... I'm not really good in making music for a given theme. But I really try. I don't mind being seen as outcast, it gives a person his own personality.
I hope you don't mind my vivid imagination.
Imagine this:
The victim hides and the murderer searches for his prey. But the murderer is too dumb to find him. And then the victim runs away: 2:22.
I made a rondo form to accentuate the continuous predator-prey actions here. Technique: I learned to displace the sounds a little bit and use small variations in tempo to make it sound real and not electronical. Oh, I found my acoustic guitar too! I learned that rendering too many wave files after each other would make the sound go in a bad direction.
I fear that this might give a pertinence of 9/20 too but, I'll try harder next time.
VGM and anime music forever!
