Who can forget the huge influence of Maurice Ravel on Yoko Kanno and Masashi Hamauzu?

It feels like Ravel was the teacher of those two icons of anime and vgm.

Here's a tribute to Ravel's Toccata:

I know all pieces of Ravel and played all of them. He has a great influence on my compositions.

(It sounds odd, but Ravel Toccata is much more difficult than Kapustin Etude no. 8: http://two.xthost.info/katchum2/Kapusti ... ert-01.mp3 )

Is it an Upright piano !? How can the mecanism enable such a fast note repetition ?

Great colours however, usually fresh with septine chords just like Debussy.
Congratulation for the performance, but please cut your nails ! /einh

I cut my nails!!!!!

It's impossible to play it without hearing the nails! You try it!

Or you would play it with fingers that aren't in position.

(Setzer, did you see the topic Kapustin? There is a youtube link to a pianist who played repeated notes as if it was a synthesized piano sound, his repeated notes are twice as fast as I did here. This is the famous link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYNi14p5Nu0)

I didn't know this one... awesome !

But there's no prob setzer ! You can play such fast note repetition on an upright piano, absolutely ... or you gotta fix your hammers XD

Katchum, great performance; would you like to upload the score on your ftp ? I wanna play it this next summer's holiday.

Thank you.
